I read this fantastic article yesterday about blind spots we may have as Christian parents. The original article is directed to homeschoolers, but I think every Christian parent would benefit from a thoughtful and prayerful reading of this article.
It is always a temptation to rely on our formulas to bring about fruit in our kids’ lives. We need to be faithful to raise our children in a godly way, but never forget that “it is God who works in you to will and to act according to His good purpose.” (Phil. 2:13).
May they see us living out our faith in dependence upon Christ. May we live among them as humble sinners in need of a Savior, not as Pharisees, relying on our righteous rags.
